Tired but Happy
Tim McGraw...You Want Fries With That?I have been so incredibly busy at work this past month. The new people from the Macon Center have finally moved in, and we've been trying to get everything sorted and in its place. My hours have changed also, which means I get more hours! Yay! Better paycheck
So I get up at 8:15 and get to the rock yard by 9:00, work until about noon, go home, get a shower and a bite to eat, and then head to my school job and work until 7:00 pm. I work longer, but I get to go home earlier in the evening. It's working out nice, but I have very little time for my writing. But I have to eat, and writing isn't putting food on the table
I'm learning lots of new things, especially in Exel...but I think I've already forgotten half of it. Arg!
Oh, well, I've quit being shy about asking question. If I'm not sure, I pester my boss
This morning at the rock yard I was trying to break down a huge rock with a sledge-hammer, and ended up getting slammed in the mouth with a flying piece of rock. Ouchie! It rattled my teeth and split my lip, but it didn't swell.
I finally finished the Harry Potter books...I'm a tad upset about Snape and Dumbledoor, but I can't tell you why without giving something away. However, I doubt things are as they seem. Now I've started on the Lemony Snicket books "A Series of Unfortunate Events". I had went to watch the movie awhile back, but somehow ended up in the wrong theatre and watched "Meet the Fochers" instead. My boys and I had neglected to read the name of the movie before going into the theatre. This past Sunday we went to watch "Red-Eye", and I told my boys that if we ended up in the wrong theatre again, I was not watching "The 40 Year Old Virgin". I would get up and go find the right theatre. They said, "Suit yourself, we'll just stay here."
But we did end up in the right theatre, and it was a pretty good movie, very suspenseful. Anyway, back to Lemony Snicket...interesting series of books, but it's on about a 4th grade reading level, and I kept getting irritated at the author for giving the definition of some of the bigger words. I guess the books are meant to be a learning tool, but it was a tad distracting. But, hey, I'm 37, so what did I expect?
Catch y'all again when I get a minute
